Admittedly Grand Turk is one of my all-time favorite ports. This little island is not much more than a cruise ship terminal, a massive beach and some of the clearest waters I have ever seen. And best of all, if the ship is docked it is all right there. Again, this place is most crew members happy place.

Normally we start the afternoon off with a drink and some food in Margaritaville. If you are lucky enough to get one of the outside tables you have a beautiful view of the ocean and the ships. It is always fun to sit and watch whenever a new ship docks and the masses of people walk ashore.  Unfortunately this time we were tendered and sailed early so there was no time for food.

The cruise terminal is also pretty big and in addition to the duty free store you can find your usual touristy Caribbean stores such as Diamonds International, Del Sol and Ron John Surf Shop. As my friend wanted to stock up on her go to perfume, we did a quick stop in the duty free store, and doing some quick window shopping as we walked past the other ones.

Then finally came the highlight of the trip ashore, swimming in the clear blue waters. The waters are so clear that you can see everything under water, even without a mask! It is also so nice and warm, especially with the sun shining just above you. After splashing around in the waters for a little while we soaked up some sunshine before heading back to the ship.
